The Challenge
Steplab is a professional development platform specifically designed for teachers, by teachers. It actually works in the way teachers work, but Steplab were finding it challenging to show schools that they weren’t like the other, drier PD programmes. They found they were being dismissed as ‘just another coaching thingy teachers haven’t got the time for’. They needed a rebrand that separated them from the pack. A brand that showed Steplab was modern, relatable, forward-thinking and, above all, trustworthy.
The Solution
Do the exact opposite of what everyone else in this space is doing. We created a brand identity that had colour and vibrancy. That used modern typography and imagery. A brand identity that felt casual and conversational, as opposed to formal and talked at. We then rolled out this new brand identity across multiple touchpoints including a totally refreshed website. Creating an energetic brand world and community that is actually for teachers, by teachers.

Yes. Steplab now has over 100,000 teachers using their platform. That’s over 100,000 teachers who are now levelling up their skills and providing the next generation of bright, young minds across the UK and Australia with the best education possible.
